Michael Gerstman has been with the  Gerstman Financial Group (now Gerstman & Martin) since 1983. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Political Science from SUNY Albany.

In 1990 he received the  Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. In addition, in 1992, he was a recipient of the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the same institution.

Michael takes his business very seriously, but doesn't take himself too seriously.  He lives by the credo, "you can only be young once, but you can be immature forever..."

Michael is a former college basketball player and still plays avidly.  He supports numerous charities and philanthropic causes.

He has three daughters, Danielle, Jordana, and Elle.
